where to get parts

hi people

just wondering where is te best place to get mk 1 punto parts. i mean second hand parts. i need like a gear box and a clutch and other parts. is there a place where every one gets their parts from.

we go to our local scrappy for gearbox or look in ff classified. no one uses a second hand clutch, its not worth it as its a lot of work to fit and cheap enough new

what is the best gear box for a punto 60s, i want something that is better then the one i have already. any suggestions

well guess, yup, another 5speeder from an 8v.

there are two other boxs that will fit.
6speeder, BUT it will rev the same in 6th at 60mph (3800rpm) as your current box will do in 4th at 60mph 3800rpm, see my thread months back.
5speeder out of a sporting, I was told they had a longer 5th gear, e.g 2600rpm at 60 rather than the usual 3000rpm @ 60. but infact they are the other way round, 3500rpm at 60, and more likely to be ragged to death, as they have more power going thru them .

and also, when i change gear, i lift the clutch up and the car jumps abit, not alot, i mean i can feel it but no one else can with out me telling them but is this the cluth or the gear box or something else.
