Never done anything like it before

in which case, it'll probably take you forever - sod's law, rule 21 if I'm not mistaken :D

Seriously though, some exhausts literally fall apart & others require the technology of an F1 pit crew.
I would make sure you get it up on a decent set of ramps to give you room to work.
You'll know fairly quickly if it's gonna be a pig to get just the little bit off that you want.
Some years ago, a main dealer just on the end of the road was branching out into tyres and exhausts (guess they didn't have enough normal work?).
I was able to have them supply and fit the two back boxes (mid & rear section) CHEAPER than I could buy them from the motor factor - never been that lucky since though.

That's what I mean haha I've just not got the knowledge or the equipment to do the job, I'm just looking on getting the rear section back box and exhaust put on, could I just take it to a garage and say I've got an exhaust that needs fitting ?

I fitted a back box to my sporting yesterday. only needed a jack and a 13mm spanner. the back box cost me £18.90.

You can do this yourself. 2 bolts. All that i would suggest is getting another exhaust clamp for after. All you need to do is get the exhaust back box out of the hanger. Using washing up liquid works to help lube it up. And then undo the clamp twist the back box until it comes off. Refitting is reverse :)

find a mobile mechanic, they will weld it on for you for very cheap, then you know it wont be blowing at all when its on :) with clamps theres a chance of it blowing abit.

If your not too bothered about a receipt I'm sure you'll find a lot of mechanics who work in garages would more than likely fit it for you, out of hours of course, somewhere else. For far less than the garage would charge.

Would definitely be cheaper that way.
I've saved loads on garage costs this way.

It's not what you know.....,
