Technical Where is the fuel filter in a 1.6ie?

Where is the fuel filter in a 1.6ie? Cannot locate it

under the car in-front of the fuel tank on right hand side........should have a cover over it......had the car from new never changed mine in 13 years still on original cat. just passed MOT with flying colours !

on the 1.4 tipo there's one under the bonnet in the lefthand back corner in the fuel line before it goes to the fuel pump.
