Where do you put yours?

Where do you put yours?

After several different attempts, using stuff given to me, I've settled on a stuck-down circular pad on top of the dashboard.

Attempt #1 - goose-necked mount, stuck to front side mini-window. A mare to fix, and no way of attaching the bloody satnav holder to the mount!

Attempt #2 - magnetic mount. Failed miserably

Attempt #3 - beanbag mount. While the weight kept it firmly on the dashboard, the height of the beanbags stopped me from plugging in the power cable into the satnav. Not a complete waste, as my wife uses it in her car with her satnav, and it works beautifully (if a tad BIG to store away).

Attempt #4 - £2.99 TomTom stick-down disc, with a couple of sticky-pads added as my dash is quite curvy. Works a dream, if a smidge unslightly.

It's located above and to the right of the centre console, and when the satnav is attached, it doesn't block the view of anything.

Someone else mentioned it earlier in the thread - it does seem daft that car manufacturers do not include a nice little shiney flat circle of dashboard for stick-on mounts.
