Wher is crank timing sensor on hgt? also why no spark??

Hi, i posted on here a few weeks back abt changing the cambelt on at hgt i bought that has been stud for 2 yrs. Adivce was spot on so i have returned for more! lol

1st, where is the crank timing sensor on the hgt engine. I had a quick look under the car today but wasnt on ramps or nething so couldnt see very well but if there is any pics anyone has to show it would be very helpful.

Second, the car still isnt firing and hasnt since i bought it, checked today and realised i had no spark.......so any ideas???

Thanks for that link, had a quick look at it. But was wondering if anyone has any digi photos of the sensor or its location? Im away from home so cant look at the car until the weekend, and wanna return and get it sorted straight away. LOL.

Just been reading some old posts on here about starting problems and they all seem to indicate a knackard crank sensor? Where is the best place to buy a new one and how much am i looking at?

Other things that it has indicated to are the transponder and cam sensor? Again places and prices if poss??

Alternativly if anyone knows whats wrong with the bloody thing please let me know.

Cam sensor not crank sensor?? I was just gunna email you as i have been pointed in your direction. U seem to be the resident mechanic, lol!!

How much are they, and wheres best to get one from? The what about fitting? How long, tools etc?

If the error code says cam sensor then its most likely the cam sensor.

Fiat sell them.

Error code?? Havent had it diagnosed as i have no way of getting it to a garage?

I thought you had. Get a diag done, it will save you time and money.

No mate not yet. And the problem is i bouht the car after it had a slight bump to the wheel, bent bottom arm and steering arm slightly, now theyr replaceb but the tracking is miles out therfore it cannot be towed on an a-frame. I cant get hold of a trailer and dont know of any mobile diagnostic-ers in the north west/wales area that can read the hgt?

Are you aware of any??

mobile vehicle services are in liverpool in yellow pages you could see if theyll come to you i have used them for diagnostics
