i have a 1.9 jtd 04. the alloy wheels are 225/45/17, one of my wheels has cracked in 2 places and constantly leaks air and i am now using my spare. is it possible to change the wheels and buy new ones with tyre size 195/60/15 as a new wheel and 2 new tyres costs a fortune, and tyres on this size wheel are a lot cheaper. would this size fit on my car.
thankyou

Im no expert, but as I understand it, are you asking if it would be ok to have two 17inch wheels and two 15inch wheels on the car?

If so I dont think its a good idea!

However if you mean replace your 17's with the 15's then so long as all wheels are the same you should be ok! Think when i had 15's on I had 195/65/R15 tyres!

yeah i ment to change all tyres to 15". thanks your your help

you will need 195/65/15 as coyotes says and not profile 60.

but WHY??? they'll look horrid.

surely fleabay has something suitable?

i sold my original 16" alloys with tyres for £115 last year.

a little reply to coyotes misunderstanding. when i was in hellfrauds i had a customer who turned up once in an alfa 156 with a DIFFERENT size alloy on each corner. it had 4 completely different wheels!

i was like 'duuuuuuuuuuuuuuude!!!, thats a beautiful car that you've wrecked you idiot'

i then refused to work on his car

Hello,
I have Lancia Delta wheels on my Multiwagon, 15 inch with 195/65/15 tyres. Thema Turbo wheels also fit but need longer bolts.
I decided that the original 16 inch alloys were too pretty and would probably suffer in the potholes around Edinburgh so wanted to go for the taller walled tyres. 80's onward Alfa Romeo's have the same bolt fitting so Alfa wheels may fit also but I don't know about the offset business.
