wheels ?? help needed

I have a bravo 1.4 sx 1997 and i want to change the 14" wheels with 15"or 16".
I want to know the full specs of the wheels i should seek for.
What tires would fit best ? and look best.
now , i have 165/65/R14 ..
i was thinking something like 195/55/R15 ?
or 195/50/R15 ?
I don`t want my speedometer go crazy ..you know what i mean..
