I have two sets of brand new Abarth alloys. The 16" spoked and the very nice upgrade 17"s. I need to take some pics.

I bought them with a view to enhancing Mrs Gs BNW 1.2 Lounge.

Question is which will suit/fit best.

I want to put the 17s on but it may be too much for the 1.2.

Thoughts please.

Either way a set will be up for sale soon

For the sake of your spine and the poor engine that will have to deal with 205's..... go for the 16's

Going from 195's (16" wheels) to 175's on 14" wheels has made my car more fuel efficient and a tad quicker in terms of acceleration. I really do think the 205's on 17's are a size too far for a poor little 1.2

Whack the 16's on ... bigger is not always better

I agree with 'Maxi'. The 16" wheels would be more appropriate for the 1.2.
I have 17" wheels on my Abarth & they look good, as they really fill the arches, but 16" on your Lounge would look just as smart. :)

I'd stick to the 16s too, particularly if it’s a town-based car, what with the UK's potholed nature and all

can you send like to view the wheels what kind are they cheers im after the petal ones cheers (y)

When I have decided which ones to put on the car, I will put the other set up for sale.

The 16s are the spoked alloys.

He says that now - but it'll be a struggle to give up an extra 10-15 mpg / %
Well I reckon any savings when it gets warmer would be offset by the fact that the tyres will pretty much melt away within a few months. If I wanted to be really silly I'd get a third set of wheels for some 175 summer tyres but then why did I spec nice alloys etc etc?

Do what I did a few years back.

But the worlds most economical production car......

.........and put oversized rubber on it in place of the "specially designed" LRR tyres Honda fit, thus negating £millions of R&D money in one foul swoop.

:worship: I'd never buy Eco LRR tyres unless I had a car I purely drove around in the city.
