First, I'm not a `techi' - so can't give you a definitive answer.

It's many snows since I had my Mk1, but I can advise that you don't have a straight match i.e. the PCD, Offset & Bore are different. Will they convert? is outside my knowledge.

Search for a `rim conversion chart' to check on tyre sizes & (approved) rims.

Have you considered the `insurance' factor?

yes i have quoted the insurance factor, i can afford it, now, it was the offset that is concerning me! according to all the forums that talk about them wheels say that the pcd is 98 which is the same as the punto.. but the punto offset is 38 ( correct me if im wrong) and the biturbo wheels are 22... now if im right, If you put a wheel on the same hub with a bigger offset, the wheel will sit further inside the wheel arch because the wheels bolting face will have to move further in to meet the hub.. ah well i got so caught up in the moment of thinking about smartening up ma car that i forot to check all the figures..

cheers

My understanding is that the PCD (108?) on Maserati wheels is significantly more than the PCD (98) on a Punto - so I looked no further. The ET has a range (mid30s to mid40s) - the bore is probably the same(?).

I'm not the guy to ask about converting, as I stay within the envelope of approved spec. - so try the `Punto' section, the guys in there will advise if it's do-able.
