hey
im looking to get some wheels for my seicento and was looking at these minilites 10 inch on ebay love the look of them but not sure of bore and offset but was also looking at 14 inch bbs that came off an mx5, but would these be too big?
i know the stud pattern in 98x4 but will wobble bolts i think i can fit 100x4/101.6x4, anybody know about this?

also looking to slam it to the ground, but was thinking of buying springs first to see cos im budget till i can get some more money

cheers thanks

Dylan :)

Forget official minilites - the PCD is too big to try and make up unless you are willing to perform serious surgery, and by that i mean getting the angle grinder and welder out and begin cutting things

You can get KN minataurs or compomotive ML's which come in fiat fitment, they are replica minilites

Dont know about mazda wheels - if they anything like the other japanese PCD cars they wont fit

i live in ireland so its really hard to get rim an parts i need :(
think ill get about with the bbs with wobble bolts
have you heard of these bolts before?
with regards to lowering, would changing springs be a good place to start?

Dylan

the offset for an mx5 is 35-45 and my car only needs 33? so thats should be ok right?
The bore is smaller but ill be able to machine them out to the right size
would i need smaller profile tyres to avoid rub? and roll the archs?

No. The higher the ET, the closer the wheel rim is to the centre of the car. All things are possible, given a truly competent machine shop and a big budget. Then again, most things can go to Eire in the post!

but its only off by two? so if i but a washer in between the rim and hub would that give me that give me the clearance?
would anybody have a link to some good wheels that will fit? 98x4 or 100x4

cheers for all the advise lads,
love my little seicento :)

Or 8! You need to check by reading the ET figure stamped on the actual wheels.

I hope you mean a spacer! A washer might well mean the Guardai sweeping you into a black bag.

Easy peasy fits are generally other FIATs (except Grande Punto), Lancia, Alfa Romeo. That way you know the PCD is 98 and just have to worry about the offset.

I don't like slammed Centos at the best of times, but a slammed Cento on Irish roads is going to be a handful, I'd think.

yeah i know what you mean
im not looking for normal wheels and dont mind buying other parts or moding make it fit, Minilites is what i really want
and ireland has the best roads for cursing! there not full of slat like over there :p:p

Offset may be between 35-45 those bbs probably aren't factory fitment get the actual et as stamped on them. Washers won't do unless you want to become a statistic. The centre bore is important to get right as the weight of the car rests on it rather than the bolts this is especially important with wobble bolts as they'll loosen over time.

BBS are std fitment on some models of the eunos. As are enkei's!

I ran them on my mr2, et was 38 iirc on the bbs's. Pcd was 4x100 as you know.

If your heart is set on bbs also look at the early BMW's and vw 4x100. You may get a better pcd.

Anything smaller than 13s would look strange IMO, so just as well they won't fit!

People have fitted the 4x101 Mini wheels, I believe they drill each wheel hole out slightly then run wobble bolts and use spigot rings for the centre bore. Offset on the Mini wheels is something like -7 as well so far from a straight fit but if you search this section you'll see that it can be done. Running some negative camber on the front should help squeeze them under the arches. Rolling the rears will be needed as well.

As for slamming, the sump and parts of the floorpan hang down lower than the bumper so remember that if you go really low! Some of the Polish Centos are mega low, so again, it most be possible. FK do a 70/50 kit which sits nice and Spax do 60mm springs as well. I'm running Spax 60mm fronts and FK 50mm rear and you do have to be careful.

Just to back Duncan up here,my friend scraped his sump and split the fuel tank on a stone on his when he had it on a 60/40 kit!

scraped his sump :p , ive dinted mine :( static ftw :)

it all depends on ow low you want , i think im running about as low as you would be good , as i still can get over speed bumps , and every thing just catch the floor a bit with my arb / exhasust
