this might sound stupid, but are wheel bolts universal? or are there actually different thicknesses, its just im trying to put my alloys on right now and im not having much luck! some one help me plzzzzzzzzzzz
Just read something about this on one of the posts but can't find it now The actual Wheel nut thread will be the same as it screw to the car not the wheel but.....The head its self will be different, You can buy new alloy wheel bolts with a locking bolt from Sorry to say it McHalfords or contact your nearest Alloy Dealer!
ahhhhhhhh, im with ya, i got myself in a bit of a pickle earlier, they just wouldnt go in! lol, ill have to invest in some bolts then, wouldnt my original shitty bolts do? thanx 4 the hlp
The wheel bolts are very different for steel and ally wheels. They have different shoulders on and using one for the other type of wheel will either damage the wheel or simply be dangerous.
