whats wrong with my car?

Iv always had fairly good fuel consumption on my 97 1.6 bravo. Even when I got my induction kit and exhaust system it was still ok but lately it has changed. Iv been getting about 200 miles to a full tank and iv been driving it how I always have. Anyone got any ideas what could be the problem and has anyone tried an ekotek valve, if so results?

Has the engine been serviced L8ly? A good service will increase your MPG

Is the air filter clean
Are the spark plugs in good condition

Yea I had it serviced 2 months ago with new plugs and my air filter is fairly new.

Doesn't mean its clean.

yes its lovely and clean but cant really think what else could be wrong.

Your airfilter is too close to the engine. Its taking warm air into the filter from the engine aswell.

Move the filter away from the engine and you'll get better MPG. Get it where the existing air filter was and you'll notice the difference.

Have you noticed the MPG going down as the weather has warmed up?

yea guess so its been gettin hotter an fuels been getten worse. Use a bit of wire wool on your engine gets the dirt off well.
