Number 2: Whats that small red thing to the bottom left of the cone filter? I left that pipe exposed when i attached my cone filter.(y)

No. It can't draw in much cold air from that position.

It's an engine/ cam cover breather mini filter.

:)

Where is the best place to place the cone filter? i have 1 meter of flexible tubing so i can place it anywhere. And can i get one of those from any spares shop?

As far away from the engine as possible and where the air is likely to be coolest. That's why most modern cars have air intakes behind the headlights so you could do the same for yours (y)

However, you have a carburettor Uno so if you run it in cold and damp conditions i.e. below approx. 6 degrees you'll be at risk of carburettor icing. That's why the airbox has a thermostatic flap and a hot air pipe coming from the exhaust manifold ;)

I know the pick is a bit small but save it and zoom in,,,
A freshly build Uno Mia motor with the same air box but the filter removed and a cone filter and induction pipe fitted to the air box

Unless the filter has it OWN airbox AWAY from the heat generated of the engine, they arent beneficial (Heat exchange issues)

Thats why you'll see carbon airboxes on Touring cars and alike

You've been mugged off if you think otherwise the illusion of "Increased performance" written on the box always sells!

If you want to make a box, try some sheet alloy with a direct PROTECTED air feed
By protected i mean resistance to engine/component heat
