it will likely be a climate sensor

It's possible - do you know that for a fact or just guessing ?

On unrelated note.... I also have no idea do I have rain sensors. How can I check that ? The windshield has been replaced at some point, not sure does that matter.

It's a dual solar sensor for automatic climate control. If you don't have automatic climate control, it's just an empty plastic "thingy"
.

I do have automatic climate ! That's it then :) Thanks !

Any idea how can I figure out do I have rain sensors ? Any photo of a sensor I can compare my windscreen with maybe ?

TIA

If you have the rain sensor you will probably also have automatic lights sensor, in which case there will be a letter "A" on the light switch stalk

This is from the Croma handbook.

As said above, it's for the climate control. It cools you down a degree or two cooler than what's set if the sun shines on it. You sometimes notice when the sun hits it the blower cranks up.

Cars with auto wipers have a lump stuck onto the inside of the windscreen, behind the rear view mirror. You can tell from the outside of the car. Eg...
