Technical Whats this pipe?

right, i was trying to remove the exhaust manifold heat sheild today but i need to remove this pipe annnd i need to remove the air con which i'm less confident about, just wondered ehat this one was before i took it off?

it appears to dissapear under the headlight unit...

sorry i didnt take one from further away, theres some thingy bolted to the head jusr above the exhaust manifold, i would have said its coolent but it just seems to fun off under the headlamp

could it just be an overflow? oil overflow? coolent overflow?

looking from the front of the car into the bay it runs from above the centre of the exhaust manifold, its goes off to the left past the air con pump and under the headlight unit..

Is it the pipe to the expansion bottle?

That's a water gallery bolted to the head just above the manifold.

ah yeah it could be, i forget that the tank isnt on the radiator on the marea, i'll look again tomorrow

I'm a bit late here, but as others say it's a coolant pipe. The metal bit can be left in place to remove the heatshield - just remove the flexible hose from it.

i tried to remove the rubber pipe today....i would not shift
