They also both have 4 wheelsExcept for the 1.9 diesel engine and the M32 gearbox? I dare say there are similar ancillaries also![]()

I will have to agree with Tad-bravo on this. I own the Bravo (2007) and owned the 159 (2009). The 159 was so unreliable, everything in it was falling apart and I had to let it go last year. Parts were also so expensive. Although it was better in handling, I enjoyed driving the Bravo much more than the Alfa. Nothing in the Alfa 159 is shared with the Bravo. The engine is from GM. Maybe the newer Alfas eg. Mito, Giulietta may have some engine parts which may be similar to Bravo but I doubt they share majority of the parts. I am still with my Bravo and still enjoy every moment in it.
Well if you can wait . .

I wasn't talking about reliability. I was talking about quality.
Fiat's marketing wants you to think that alfa is high end but it's not.
The price of (new) alfas might look like high end but they're not.
I have seen a gearknob fall off a new brera, leather showing sunspots in another new breara still at the dealer, mitos with plastic interiors that look like a clio's and I could go on.
There's a reason the alfa 4C is built at the mazeratti factory. alfa is not a high end manufacturer.
Fiat on the other hand is doing great efforts in quality and not relying solely on marketting B.S.
The interiors of the punto evo, bravo and new panda are great. the fiat 500 is outstanding.
