I have a new addiction - salted caramel and chocolate cheesecake eusa_drool.gif[/attachment:3lofv6nm]eusa_drool.gif[/attachment:3lofv6nm]eusa_drool.gif[/attachment:3lofv6nm]eusa_drool.gif[/attachment:3lofv6nm]eusa_drool.gif[/attachment:3lofv6nm]eusa_drool.gif[/attachment:3lofv6nm]eusa_drool.gif[/attachment:3lofv6nm]eusa_drool.gif[/attachment:3lofv6nm]eusa_drool.gif[/attachment:3lofv6nm]eusa_drool.gif[/attachment:3lofv6nm]

Another one from me. All the grandchildren had to pick an item from my grandmother's house as a keepsake and I collected mine from the folks this afternoon. It's a framed photo of Churchill's funeral and the reason I chose it is because you can quite clearly see my dad in naval uniform marching behind the coffin.

It's getting re-framed and then will go up on a wall somewhere

Thats one of those amazing weird mementos - if people didnt know the story behind it, they would think wtf, but its special to you & quirky :)

The embarrassing thing is I very nearly forgot about it and had decided that the only thing I wanted from the house was a photo of the mural in the lobby that one of my grandpa's artist friends had painted for them when they renovated the house. It's very rough but I've always loved it and it now serves as the wallpaper on my desktop

It was only the day after we got back home that I remembered the funeral photo resulting in a quick phone call to Cornwall and asking for it to be taken up here

Witnessed the most amazing thunder and lightning storm I have ever seen, including on tv. Rumbles that shook the foundations of the house!!

Also my cv getting fired about as if from a machine gun... enough is enough :)

Bureaucratic nonsense at work almost out of the way (except appraisal but no-one takes that seriously :D ) so it's back to playing in the lab again. The days go so much faster when the work is fun and interesting.

Oh and a shipment of samples arriving on dry ice which was a source of much fun too

Just don't tell me the price cos this is the smile thread

I really can't complain about the price of the wheels brand new £33 each deliverd within 5 days of the order being placed and I have an iv post code when company's see that they normally bump up the delivery price or say it will take 5 months to arrive.
