Whats B&Q's cheap version of Dynamat called again ???? Aqua something ?????????

As above whats it called again? Old Nissan Sunny passed its MOT and after having it krypton tuned runs like a dream with less engine noise at speed, only road noise so gpoing to chuck some soundproofing under the carpet to kill that too!

Been to B&Q but couldn't find any !!!!!!!!!!

Went to the insulation section of course with all the rolls of roof and loft insulation etc.

The only stuff i saw branded by aqua seal was the liquid brush on variety or corner strips only.

I'm assuming i should have been looking for rubbery rolls with a self adhesive backing of some sort?

What would it be classed as? They had roof felt, roof insulation etc.

Several sections in that aisle were empty so its possible they were out of stock, i made the mistake of asking an employee for it who asked what i wanted to use it for and when i told him got a lecture on it not being suitable!

try flashing tape. I have this in mine aswell as 10rolls of dynamat extreme. sound it truly awesome. but il prob put another 10rolls of flashing tape in soon just to kill all the rattles and excess road noise.

aqua seal is tar based it to use as a trim on tar roof liners. not to sure how good it is but it 20 squid for 10 meters here and its about 12" wide

I have used it. Found it outside in the timber/building section.

Its good as long as you get it on right first time. I later stripped mine off as I wasn't quite happy with it and its a nightmare to try and remove. Had to scratch it off with a screwdriver and attack the remains with white spirit.

Not much fun and took more time to remove than put on.

If you can get it right though it does a good job.

Babar mate, you need to go to the outside bit (but still under the roof where the timber etc is kept) its over in the left aisle, on a shelf opposite the sand and just above head height. thats where it is on gt western road anyway. i'm guessing thats where you were...

they do have it, was about 15 quid. you'll need three for your whole boot, and one per door if u do the doors.

Went this morning and found this in the same section as there was nothing outdoors, it wasn't there before so they've obviously restocked, this sounds closest to what smee described so i'm assuming its the right stuff?

General road noise, bear in mind i'm doing it on the old sunny as its noisy and as a bit of an experiment.

The brava will be next to kill the exhaust drone on long drives.

ah, now i see. i assumed it was your brava. the nissan sunny i can understand... make sure you do up the side of the wheelarches too, as i reckon thats one of the worst sources of road noise. and do it on a warm dry day, or take a hairdryer out with you. i left mine on the dashboard to warm up on a lovely sunny day. quite enjoyed doing it. not the chore i expected. i did have to nip out for a new knife, as mine just wasn't up to it. a quid for a new craft knife and i was away...
