General What type of engine

Hi all, what type of engine are in these? Same as the FIRE engines n most smaller FIATs? Also how are they like for reliability?

I own a Punto (well several) but parents have a renault scenic and tbh it's CRAP! They want another similar sized car though and was looking through and saw the idea was similar.

I know it comes in mulitijet engine and the 1.4 16v but as said I wanted to know if these were same engines as the smaller FIATs?

The car is basically a mk2 Punto underneath.
What do they find bad about the Scenic, the Idea might have the same problems!

The multijet is definately the same and the 1.4 is the same as the Panda 100 which I guess is the same as the Puntos too. (but not the Grande Punto)

Problem with the scenic is it's a renault!
Central locking problems,
Steering lock problems,
fuel pump problems,
everything breaking on it,
immobiliser problems,
accelerator problems,
idling problems,
engine accessibility.

Only covered 30 odd thousand miles on an 04 plate
