General what to pay?

The 1.25 (New) Fiesta is heavier than the 500, it was something I was considering but by the time we'd gone up to a 1.4 and had similar extras it was over £2k more. But then the KA is the equivilent size to the 500 so can't really be compared like for like.
Also if your planning on keeping the car for a good while (like I am) the retro cars stay looking current for longer, where as the Fiesta is on its 3rd model in 13 years.
My last car was a Fiesta and I loved it but I'm made up with my 500 so far.

If you consider all the facelifts that the Fiesta had as well the current model will look even more out of date in the future compared to the 500. The Mk4 and Mk5's also had a facelift each.
