sorry to hear that Katie, my Mum was battling it towards the end of last year and this year but thankfully got through it. Hope your friend has similar luck.

The problem we have up here is they're getting increasingly slow at the diagnosis meaning aggressive cancers have the chance to spread plus Grampian NHS can't afford the best treatments. This is what happened to our friend and consequently it's just not going away

Yeah, my Mum was pretty lucky in that respect as they did catch it early. Just so many people I know too that aren't/weren't so lucky
Long may both ours and everyone else's mum's remain free from cancer
