Hi,
I'm currently looking to buy a used Multipla, what should I look out for? what are the major pitfalls on owning one of these strange groovy things.
any help would be great, thanks
also if anyones thinking of selling theirs...

Front suspension knocks are almost inevitable, unless the front end is absolutely quiet on an uneven road use as a lever to get the price down and budget for repairs.Rear suspension on higher milage cars as well.Clutches fail prematurely on some cars, check by attempting to pull away with handbrake on,any slip or other issues look elsewhere or around 600 quid to replace.Check all electrics work, they probably wont, folding mirrors etc.Look for warning messages on start up and if a JTD check full power right through the rev range on your test drive.Otherwise do all the checks you would on any other car,a browse of this forum will give an idea of commonly recurring problems.

there the worlds most ugly looking car

last timing belt change & vehicle history....you will get the usual faults but it helps if someone has had them (and paid for them) before you do. If your budget can stretch get the later (facelift) version.

quick update
I hope I've go one :) (viewing/picking up on Monday)
full service history, two owners, t&t, 85k. (y) fingers crossed.

I'll post some pics when it's home
