What is this bit? (JTD) Is anyone selling a replacement

Hi all, noticed a hose was hanging off and traced it back to this.

Car is driving fine but want to get it sorted.

I did have the bit to reattach but tried sticking and it wouldnt hold and then i dropped it, never to be found again

Does anyone have one of these for a JTD 100 by any chance?

Is it not something to do with releasing air or adding air? I'd need to have a look at mine to tell you where it goes from there.

I can't tell you 100% what it does as im not sure. Replacement will be Fiat im afraid or scrap yard.

I think it may have been the bleed off pipe from the boost control valve - see if the pipe is hanging off the solenoid valve mounted on the gearbox. it wont do any major harm but may be causing a small amount of air to leak in. plug it up if you cant find the pipe.

I've had a look on my car and i'm struggling to see where it goes. My tubing tucks under that big plastic pipe and disappears up towards the bulkhead.

I dont believe its going to the boost controller valve at the rear of the engine, but it could be as mentioned be going to the second boost controller valve on the JTD somewhere near the battery. Im unable to locate it without removing bits.

Best bet would be to remove your battery and tray.

In regards to the tubing you can buy new tubing from B&Q, then try to reconnect it with glue or epoxy resin.
