I Noticed a scraping on the rear wheel drivers side yesterday and after inspecting today found it to be the handbrake cable scuffing the wheel. One of the plastic mounts it clips into has broke, luckily I noticed it before any real damage to the cable was done.Just a little scuff mark on the rubber casing.
Anyway I rang Desira Fiat in Norwich today to see if they would be so kind to replace the little plastic mount and asked if it would be covered under the third year warrenty.Cutting a long story short I was told it wouldn't be because it is fair wear and tear.
They replaced a door hinge pin a few weeks ago with no fuss.Wouldn't you think for a item that costs a few pence and a couple of minutes to fit they would do it out of good customer care.I know I could do it myself but it seems they are fast enough to take your money for servicing and other bits.I was going to have the front pads changed with them for £110 but told the to cancel the appointment and they still didn't give a ****.
I don't think the third year warrenty is worth the paper it is written on because she told me it only covers electrics.I have sucured the handbrake cable with a couple of tie wraps which seems to hold it away from the wheel better than before so will leave it at that.Sorry about the long rant just pissed off with Desira and there poor customer service.
We love the Multi but after looking on this forum I have nightmares about the big bills ahead.
Does anyone know if my tie wrap fix will be o.k for the M.o.t.It is a very secure fix.I would be shocked if it fails because of one little clip missing?

It will be fine for the MOT.

I think all dealers are like this now, live for the moment pennypinching rather than try and keep some repeat business.

I have never had any luck with the warranty and even if something is covered generally it is more hassle than it is worth to get the garage to fix it. (insurance on the loan car, timing, they dont find the problem, something else gets damaged in the process of fixing etc...... )
They wouldnt even do the rear wheel bearing on a 2 year old seicento with 15000 miles, it might be a wearing part but over 10 years.
