What is the difference/ simularities of comfortmatic and selesspeed systems

Following from title do they have the same problems?

Forgive me if i ask a daft question But Im a mere Ducato manual box owner and see lots of threads about both, even seen a telly program repairing a Masseratti box with Alfa parts for a millionth of the price.

They are similar . Essentially a robot that operates clutch and manual gearbox .
Designed and developed by same people/company?
Ducato has clutch operating system using "normal" brake/clutch fluid , the robot operates a clutch master cylinder. Clutch fluid one side of master cylinder piston , selespeed fluid other side of piston. Over time fluids can intermix, so both fluids should be replacement every couple of years.

Selespeed operates clutch release lever that is outside the selespeed robot and outside clutch bell housing.

I'm sure there is much more to it than the above.

Thanks very helpful, i supose next question is do they use same actuators /solenoids
