hi all,

My 2 year old 2008 model Fiat Grande Punto has only 7500 km...you might be asking yourself why so low ? ...I dont use it for going to the office, as its 10 minutes walk...so I use it mostly for Grocery, and visiting friends..long journeys always on Air or Train....

I heard somewhere that one must run a new car at least 10k km a year, otherwise it may get Rust, and Engine may last lot less than a regularly driven car...

Any idea what is the absolute minumum one should run a new car ? Any suggestions that the manufacturers give ?
Thank you...

2 of the highest mileage Grande Punto's on here have been the most reliable... so make of that what you will.

Sharkrider has covered just over 100,000 miles & I have covered 72,000 miles, both cars are re-mapped diesel 1.9 MJets & both have had minimal problems. I'd suggest low mileage = lots of trouble on the basis of the above
