i did a little guide earlier in a post in this forum (i think the topic is will these speakers work? on either page 2,3 or 4 now) have a look and if you have any questions please ask away (y)

Decent 10cm ones in the front, then make some rear quarter panel speaker mounts. They're much better than parcel shelf ones.

The best i've heard a seicento sound (without being big headed, honest) is mine, its the standard speakers up front a set of £1 ebay tweeters and 2 10" JL Audio subs. sounds awsome and i can still get all the shopping in the boot(y)

Take it you've only heard your own then?

+1

Best System IMO Would be one 10" Sub, and a decent set of 3 Way components, the 6.5" in the rear quarters, 10cm in the fronts and tweeters above that.

Amp the lot and should provide a lovely sound.

I used to have one 10inch audiobahn awt10x sub ported box, box filled the boot, jl audio 6x9s two amps with some components up front running of the head unit was nice didnt have the gain on full wack dont like distortion. Next is to get one of them pioneer things to put under front seats so boot is empty and carrying less weight
try get a nice balance whichever way you go

If you haven't already noticed it is quite hard to find speakers to fit the front - the space behind the panel is very tight indeed but I did find some that worked. You just need to look up fittings for a Mclaren F1, originally it was all Kenwood but I found Blaupunkt did some replacements as well. Compared to the original Fiat ones (no idea who actually made them) they sound very crisp and clear.

Rear speakers are a pain - an acoustic shelf to replace the original is normally essential if you don't want a boot build but the brackets at either side can't support the weight and you end up with a really squeeky boot. Lightweight reinforcing of the original parcelshelf might be a better option but I never got to try it, you could try beefing up the shelf brackets (the plastic trim that it sits on) and see if that helps.

I cant remember now, I'll have to have a look when i get a spare min, there is no spare wheel in the car, the box is fiberglass made to fit the space where the wheel went. I've heard a lot of car installs, i was, well stil am when i can find the time nuts on installs and learnt what a quallity install sounds like. i had a micra with 2 15" jbl subs in it was stupidly loud but all you could here is the bass, everything else was lost. mine has a lovely balanced sound, deep bass and clear mids and highs. the box is sealed.

if your kicking around dewsbury or barnsley anytime PM me and have a look and a listen to it.

hi ben

i might just take you up on that offer (better to see and hear it in person)
im liking the sound of using the wheel well for a box (a can of tyre weld is just as good as a spare tbh). im an old school class a fan (low power massive consumption :slayer:) the amp i have is a very old soundlab cpa-400, its huge and only puts out 100 wrms x4 or 2x 200wrms bridged but to run it at 2 ohms it needs 2 80a fuses to even function! . im only looking at a single sub either 8 or 10 inch, a set of components for the front and a set of 6x9's on the shelf so nothing major going in (y)

its not a problem, I'm working 6:00 to 18:00 this week your welcome round any time after that, or I'll probably be in the leggers on mill street between 12:30 and 13:00 every day. Hic!!

12 hour shifts, nice! ill be in touch and ill sort out when i get over (i dont trust my cinq enough yet, only had it running right a couple of days and drove it once ) but it will deffo be soon (y)

managed to find a set of kenwoods that fit in place of the originals behind grilles. Atm have xploder 6x9's on parcel shelf, but as has already been said, it needs strengthening/replaced to work properly. Has anyone tried fitting speakers to the rear door cards? Keep thinking it over, but guessing there would be at least some sort of strenthening bars running down the back of them

I have 6x9's in the rear door cards.. they make a nice difference.. also just bought some new 10cms and a fli active sub should have an ok quality hopefully without spending to much (y)
