Hi all
Was hoping you could give me some clue on what has happen. The coolant was full on monday as i topped up (I loose approx 50ml every 2 months which is not a problem) i checked the coolant again today and from max it has dropped 1 inch below min. If you look at the pictures you can see red residue on the metal and a red on the radiator. Am i right in thinking that there is a puncture in the radiator which is squirting on the front of the engine.

thanks in advance

Hi mate,

I had just the same problem on my fiat bravo I even posted an ad about it on here.

My Fiat Bravo 1.9D was losing coolant same way yours has, The problem lays in the Radiator, If you touch your Radiator and there is water on your hand you will need a new Radiator. Basically your coolant is leaking though your Radiator and spraying it around the cars engine bay from the front Fan.

I was also looking to buy a New Radiator but dont have the funds just yet, However I used Radiator Engine Repair, which will fix any leaks in the system. And the Coolant level hasnt dropped much since then.

Had a similar issue on our stilo . Used good quality radiator sealant solution (costs about £10) .I was advised not to be tempted to try the cheap stuff as it doesnt work well on modern radiators .
Our leak seems to be cured , but a new radiator costs around £100 plus fitting if you want to be absolutely certain .

Give a look on the radiator through the grill. I saw mine today and I think 2/5 part of the coolsurface is damaged / broken. The it would make more sense to replace instead of repairing.
