As for the hydralic clutch, I'd guess it could be converted back to cable if needed. the MK2 turbo box carries all the points for a cable clutch and the arm at the top of the clutch fork can be swapped for the cable jobbie too.
The Punto type box on later Unos is cable operated for left hand drive cars, as it is for modern pandas. I'd guess most FIAT boxes with hydralic clutches could be cable operated for left hand drive
