it should certainly communicate with the majority of kit,

I scanned a Berlingo recently,
MES would find everything apart from it's FRENCH engine.

so when you scanned it - what did you use, and what did / didn't it find.

my 2001 JTD is one of the earliest diesels on Obd2 - earlier were 3-pin

and it all connects.., just cannot enable cruise control.

So what vehicle do I "Choose" out of the list of ones to "Select" (That doesn't include a Scudo) ??? I really don't want to mess anything up

Hi,

get MES running, and configured with the cable.

then press SCAN - bottom right of screen,

it will scan the vehicles ECU's , and list the ones it has communicated with.

what issues do you have = where are you likely to need to access?
ABS,
Airbag .
or just engine..??

there are 1.6 PETROL on the list..
maybe select that.. but AFAIK = SCANNING , just SEARCHES for whatever it's got access to via the OBD port.

you are NOT looking at changing anything - just finding the stored faults.

Yes, I'm wanting to scan for all faults and clear them off, so I can then monitor the vehicle now in my ownership.

that said, I do have a wierd fault on the brake system (Possibly ABS related??) whereby very occasionally / randomly, on the "Last few metres of gentle braking" the pedal almost clunks once & drops and then the braking is massively reduced, though harder pressure on the pedal will increase the braking but this is then accompanied with almost ABS sounding "Grating" coming from a wheel. As I said, it's random and I can't get it to "Fault" on command. It never does it under "Hard" braking. Very, very occasionally, the ABS light will flash up but then go out, so yes, I guess I need to scan the ABS sections of the van too.

any ideas about the brake problem appreciated
