I have a couple of scratches on my bumper which I'd like to sort out, however I've got no idea what the name of the colour of my car is. Its an orangey bronze colour (1999 S Reg Sei)...any ideas?

Also, I've just found a stone chip at the top of my windscreen on the passenger side. Its probably the size of a 5p at most, and I was going to get it sorted through autoglass, however they say it is likely the whole windscreen will need replacing because its within 5cm of the edge of the screen. Anyone have experiences of this?

Any advice on both would be much appreciated x

As for the colour if you look inside your boot lid there should be a plate with the colour code on it (mine is 647 i tihnk on my cinq) if you goto a shop ie wilco and look it up in the boob it will tell you the name (or sometimes it is in the boot lid label also)

Chips can develop into cracks over time and one the size of 5p is a fairly big chip.

However sometimes a special resin/product can be inserted into the chip and stops it developing into a crack hence there would be no need for a replacement. Unfortuneatly that is up to the professionals to decide that.

Dont bother trying to get a replacement screen from a scrapyard, the sei windows are bonded in.

If you have decent insurance and windscreen cover you can usually get it done without it effecting your NCB

As said the colour code is on a metal plate in the boot.

Thanks for the help everyone, I'll have a look in my "boob" for the number! Autoglass have now said they can repair it rather than replace it luckily, so that's being done tommorrow!
