What can udo with this?

not sure if the pic will work so ill explain aswell.

the triangular base plate to the mirror (the black bit which holds the mirror to the car) is splitting and cracking can anyone recomend a way of fixing it?

its like the plastic cover, going grey and splitting.

Either, take them off, sand them down and re-spray in a matte black or something.

Or do what I did and buy 2 new mirrors from Fiat and get them fully painted the colour of the car, even the base plates. Then there is no chance of them weathering again.

The second option is a bit pricey and im still not sure if i like them, fully painted.
