Supposedly Black Diamond discs and Ferodo pads are the best combo (short of a Brembo big brake upgrade). I don't think you'll get the Abarth ones on your motor and probably not worth the effort as they suck as standard anyway :(

I'd seriously consider braided hoses as well, I think it'll be my next port of call (y)

These guys will do them for £65 inc VAT but not fitted (stainless and not zinc... zinc are £10 cheaper) :( They look like good quality but I'm sure you could get some fitted for less but whether they're the same quality or not... I couldn't say. PNL had some braisded hoses fitted so he's a good starting point (y)

It's where I got my pads from and their service was excellent (y)

PS. the hoses are the same for all Stilos.

Thanks for that young fella..;) [and no I didn't push the thank you button..:p..anyhoo down to business.. I was probably one of the first to get the hoses on a stilo no company made them for the stilo..what difference did they make you say..:chin: absolutely brilliant..more pedal pressure for less effort..ok they cost around 100 quid at that time but to be able to stop was the added bonus..I had green stuff pads and ebc dimpled/ grooved discs on the front and omp drilled and grooved on the rear..you dont really need the rears as the hard work is done with the fronts but thats up to personal choice I suppose..as time went on I changed the pads for Red dot fast road pads courtesy of GSR at a cheaper price which I must say were far better and didnt need warming up from cold..I believe green stuff have now changed the compound on thier pads now tho so things might have improved there..rear pads were just EBC standard pads as I said the fronts did all the work..Balance motorsport are the guys to get in touch with on the hoses Coyle have a word with Julian and say I sent you ..better still send me a PM and I can get you 5% discount on everything except red dot parts cos they no longer deal with the company..hope that helps..(y)

If its inapropriat to mention balance motorsport or any other company Mods please remove and edit my post..

i have braided hoses, grooved EBC discs all round, EBC Redstuff pads all round and dot 5.1 fluid.

thats a great price for the hoses. i paid twice as much for mine, and they were rather discounted

Yep, they're the same. The only difference being that the connectors are plated rather than stainless and there's no colour on the pipe, just a clear plastic. Other than that (they're options on Brakes4U), they're exactly the same. They're good quality as well with a lifetime guarantee as well... I think :D

so im ok buying those from ebay then?
there not much cheaper than brakes4u, i dont mind them being clear, can't see them anyway :p
can you fit them yourself? don't know how hard they would be.
and i dont know how much difference they would make with standard discs and green stuff pad's?

I'm umming and ahing over whether to fit them myself or not. I need to get a Gunson Eezibleed first and I'm concerned over air getting into the ABS system. In theory, it's straightforward but because we'd be removing the lines themselves, alot of air can get into the system.

I'm not sure yet... but I did have a quote for 2 1/2 hours labour to do it though... makes me want to do it myself :(

nope, depends on your wheels. as my wheels are widely spaced and the brake lines are bright yellow, they really stand out (y) even from distance.

to be honest, i didnt notice that much of a difference with my setup. or maybe it was that i was expecting a huge change, i dont know

beware, you will most probably end up breaking the copper lines that you connect to. thats what happened with the garage that did mine. Also you will either need to reuse the rubber mounting clips of the old lines or use some new p-clips.

hmm, this puts me off spending the £50 + fitting charge,
if i'll barley notice a difference theres no point. pnl said he noticed a huge difference
