I was trying to suggest Premier Inn Kilmarnock last night/ early this morning, but my laptop was playing up.

It's about 10mins drive from F&B Lewis, as they're opposite sides of Kilmarnock, but if we use the A71, then it's a peice of Pi** to get down to Frankie & Bennys.

And as Premier Inn Kilmarnock is just off the A71, then as you've mentioned it's the nearest to Eglington Park, Brewers Fyare onsite so you can have breakfast there.
Then from Premier inn, head down to the roundabout for the A71, 3rd exit, onto the A71, follow it all the way to Irvine, then we come off at WARRIX INTERCHANGE & go onto the A78, & then come off at EGLINTON INTERCHANGE & take 3rd exit.

Guys, I'm probably going to be booking into the travelodge as it's £20 cheaper. We've an early start the next day so I have no problem driving - according to google maps it's easy to get to F&B's from there by car

We shall see, might need to figure out what we are doing car wise. Really need to make a map of what the stand *should* look like :)

I'm thinking one of the 500's will be dropped from the show cars... Maybe have to poll this...

Me and the wife will be attending - Looking forward to checking you the cars :)

just to let you know folks the FS bbq won't be at this as there just aren't the logistics to get it down to Irvine. There are food stands at the rally though so you shouldn't go hungry.

The FS gazebo will be there with the usual stickers and things for sale. We'll also be unveiling the new clothing so make sure you pop by, say hello and check things out.

End of the day, is it really worth the extra hassle of getting the BBQ into one of the cars to bring it down, when there will no doubt be catering onsite.
And if folk are still Hungry there's a choice of 3 Supermarkets in Irvine. Asda, Tesco EXTRA & Sainsbury's.

Although the main point of the bbq is to feed folks it's actually slightly more than that. It's a social thing too providing a common gathering place where newbs can meet the regulars and folks can have a general catch up. So yeah, if we can manage it it is worth the hassle of carting it down. Needs must however and hopefully the newbs will have a chance to introduce themselves anyway either by popping into the gazebo or by the rest of us saying hello to them

i was going to post a picture from Cupar of everyone standing round the bbq talking but the internet is just too damn slow tonight

Easy disposable BBQ da da #itsnottoolate

Yup, that's been considered along with other things but sadly it's not just transport that's an issue here. By logistics I also mean keeping food cool as it's going to be unseasonably hot (for Scotland :D ) I'm leaving tomorrow lunchtime so any freezer packs I have will be at RT by Sunday morning. That means at best picking up the food on Sunday morning before 9 am and hoping we can find a way of keeping it cool. Frankly it's just not worth the risk but on my list of things to acquire (scrounge ;) ) is one of these http://www.amazon.co.uk/Campingaz-P...=UTF8&qid=1373669112&sr=8-3&keywords=cool+box which will make things easier in future
