General Well I Bought it (Mk1 Uno Turbo)....

I have just treated myself to a old skool classic
She is a Mk1 1.3 Turbo Uno with 61,000 miles
MOT till Jan 2009 so not long passed a MOT.
Rare model aswell has the half leather trim, from what i read there is only 70 mk1's on the DVLA system which dosent mean all of them are on the road
The car is very very clear for its age, i can only find a few small bits on the full car which needs sorting, other than that and the faded parts of paint she is mint
Posted a pic of inside one of the wheel archs so you can see how clean the car is
Plans are to lock her away and restore to concour condition over the next few years.
Comments welcome, all i can say is i havent smiles so much in my life, makes me feel 18 again :lol:

very nice indeed very strong colour on there, decals look like they've held up well too, whats under the bonnet look like? standard? and is that an aftermarket steering wheel and gear knob?

underbonnet standard other than a dump valve.

lucky i have a Mk2 Uno Turbo steering wheel somwhere which will be on tomoz and as soon as i can find an org gear knob that will be replaced aswell.

I have a Mk1 Turbo Digi Dash aswell i am thinking of putting in but unsure yet as really want it standing an in concous condition when finished, so unsure - Digi or whats in........

If anyone has any good Mk1 Uno Bits let me know

Nope, too late for that on a 'G' plate (one of the last mk1 Unos). I think the red LED stopwatch/ clock was phased out around 1986 and replaced with green backlit LCD clock only. Oh, I have two red LED clock units but neither are for sale

i got a mate (I think hes down as TonySR16Valve on MIGWEB) who drove my standard Mk2 UT (I then rolled it 2 hours later ) and hes got the bug back for his MK1 Nova so its 1.4 8valve Turbo or 2.0 8Valve on 45's!

But he really like Uno Turbos now! lol

Yours is like the perfect example "Learning aid" because its all complete!
Good for helping others putting theres back together! lol
