Tuning Weight Reduction n Parts ?

Im looking to push Chaz the cinq with a wight loss

im set for doing the flywheel but im looking for other ideas anyone ?
also does anyone know a good site for engine parts/rebuilds/styling for a cinq ? thanks

Has any one made a rear engined yet ?

There's a rear engined (Cossie) one out there, maybe an Alfa V6 one, at some point there will be ToyFIAT (MR2 meets Cinq).

Weight saving by parts substitution is going to be very expensive. Cheapest option is strip out everything not needed.

OK, then look for people doing 1 off carbon/kevlar panels. Probably the heaviest panels are the hatch and the doors. Also look for polycarbonate windows, magnesium alloy wheels, titanium fastners, etc.

Doing it that way you're probably looking at £30 plus per pound saved.

depends how serious you are......."adding lightness" is first principles go faster theory.

Carbon/kevilar seat
OMP carbon steering wheel
Dash right out and stick a digi dash in there
Composite body pannels as said before
very light alloys/mag rims
Wilwood calipers and bells/rotors
Strip out all the soundproofing

Theres alsorts you can do, its just how far you want to go and how far your imagination can take you.

I knew they would be light, but not as light as they really are. Still need to weigh them and compare them to standard calipers tho

my new toy has magnesium wheels... they do weight nothing.
