General Webasto roof

I have just bought a cinquecento soleil.
The sunroof retracts but does not go back to the closed position fully. The motor is working.
I am going to assume the runners need work or greasing or it needs a servicing.
Does anyone know of any specialists that have experience of these ?

Down our way there used to be a guy who specialised in Vinyl roofs and Webesto style sunroofs etc. Does seem to be a dying art, is there similar in your area. This company may be able to help? :-http://www.citrogsa.com/Citroen/Webasto.pdf
When I had to repair the roof on a Citroen Pluriel which was quite complicated the Storeman at the Dealership said non of their workshop mechanics would touch them, but he did give me a good copy of the plan of it so I could order parts which had broken. It took me some time as also computer controlled and involved opening part of the boot to retract as part of the operation.
It used two worms connected to a motordrive, plus many broken plastic parts that needed replacing.
Often you can remove a cover to manually operate the motor mechanism, but I would lubricate as much as possible beforehand and be very gentle in going forward and back a little at a time.

I’m also in a similar boat, I have just bought a Seicento Sporting with the Webasto roof, was all working perfectly but the other day I heard a small pop when retracted all the way back and now only the passenger side drives forward and backwards. The drivers side moves freely and but I can see the cable and doesn’t seem to be attached to the slider mech. Following this to see if anyone has any expertise

I suggest you look up the website at #2 as a guide, parts or taking on the job.
If it is any consolation it looks a lot easier than the Citroen Pluriel one I did several years ago
