I had some problems with the roof on my cabrio the other day, it was letting in rain so I figured it wasn't close straight, I opened it and couldn't get it open all the way, then when I managed to get it working I couldn't close it again. Anyway, whilst trying to persuade it to work I drowned the mechanism in WD40 and have now read dozens of threads saying NOT to use it. So if I get some grease or something specific for the job can I just apply it over the top? I took it to my mechanic who got it closed and its staying that way until the summer now :)

Thanks

Slightly better value (you get twice as much) is this and they usually have it in stock for collection if you are near one of their stores.

There's always a tube or two of it on my shelf; it's surprising how often it comes in useful.
