Technical Water intake from Air-Filter into engine...

Hello...

After a sudden breakdown at first i thought it was a snapped / slipped cam-belt, been told by Two mechanis that there is water ingress in ai-filter, therefore water being sucked into the engine. Is this possible and has it happened to anyone else ?

What engine? if engine sucked in water you could have bent con rods etc. Did you drive into deep water?. Is engine turning over BY HAND? give a bit more info
