Technical water from exhust

ok my car has bin smoking wen iu boost and oil burniung wen left on tick over seem like water spiting out the exhust any reason please help

Best case (and probable) scenario is its the condensation in the exhaust boiling off. Take the car for a good thrash for 1/2 an hour or so. If after this theres still water coming out when its idling it sounds like the head gasket has gone. The car would be down on power though if it has.

Before you go anywhere, I’d have a look at the water level in the header tank with a cold engine!!!

Has the level dropped? Is there anything in there (apart from air).. been there and done that after 1 week of ownership – was at max when I was sold it…

If the level is OK then its probably nothing to worry about.

The oil burning (black smoke) is something to worry about! First port of call is to check the oil breather isn’t blocked.. I recall someone replacing the turbo twice and still getting internal oil leaks caused by the sump getting pressurised.

Could be a few other things. You do let the engine and turbo cool down after a hard drive by idling for a couple of minuets before switching off ?
