Washing and bodywork damage

Someone nicely scraped my passenger side wheel arch, but I won't have a chance to get it sorted for a week or two cos I work on weekdays. I was planning on giving my car a good wash tomorrow morning - took advantage on the 3 for 2 deals at Halfrauds and got some NXT gen shampoo, detailing kit, polish and some autoglym HD wax off ebay ready to go.

But I just wanted to know.. if I do all of that, will it affect the bodyshop's ability to sort out the paintwork? Like if there's the layers of wax and all that on there it's not going to affect the finish is it?

Probably a dumb question cos I'm sure they're gonna have to sand down and prime before they do it (it's a nasty scrape) but I just wanna be sure before I spend 2-3 hours tomorrow morning doing it

bodyshop will wash whatever panels they are painting with mefs to get rid of any wax ect

Yeah I'm looking forward to how it's going to look cos I haven't washed it in ages. Ordered some poorboys black hole off the net too. Hasn't come yet but I'm getting impatient.

Still haven't seen your car about btw. I want to see how the exhaust sounds with the gsr too. Got plans for supersprint backbox but I'm having to work all hours god sends (and even those he doesn't) at the mo so had to put it on the back burner.

you no you cant put the black hole on after the wax ya!?
dont get supersprint go http://vortex.torque-exhausts.com/index.htm there its in enfield my catback only cost £300 sound much better then a supersprint to

lol yeah i know i was going to wash, dry, clay, polish, black hole, wax but i'm going to have to wait til the wax has worn off now.

You happy with your exhaust then? From what I've read on here everyone else reckons supersprint is the way to go?

supersprint is the best of the shelf not the best i was going to with supersprint but reddot told me there are a rip of becouse you can go get a better custom one for half the price. ya im really happy with it you tel them what sort of nois you wont and they will try and give it to you mine pops and burbles:slayer:

Yeah not sure if I want pops. Just want a sportier/throatier sound to compliment the GSR, and not too loud either.

my exhaust it load but the gsr is way louder when you go for it so if you dont like nois take that of lol
