I think the wahser motor on my W reg fiat Ulysee 2 litre petrol might be blocked or need replacing is the only way to get to this via removing wheel and wheel arch liner?

Also confused as looking under vehicle it looks as though it has two pumps one on the wide of the screen wash bottle, all black and one at the front which has green plug and a green bottom to the pump.

Afraid not, wheel off and inner arch guard off.

Does it have headlight washers?

Not sure it has the jets just below fog lights but never seen them work. By the way any idea which one is actually the washer pump or are both of them?

If it is like the eurovan2 the one on the far right.

You can tell for sure when exposed as the headlight jets are fed by a much thicker pipe.

Well found out tonight by accident that the lights one is the front one as I pulled a pipe off it earlier and tonight while driving in dark I thought I would just give a squirt to see if windscreen ones where working which did not but headlight ones are, never worked since I bought the car about 4 years ago..

the headlight washers should only activate when the lights are on and the washer switch is pulled.

Yep they do, however the front pump with thin pipes seems to be working the headlight washes and the thick ones come from the black pump which seems not to be working, will not know for sure of course until I take wheel off etc in morning which pipes go to where.

thats the easiest way to get at it.
2 pumps cause 1 is for front window and one is for rear window.
you can always try blowing back down the line to try and clear it.

On mine the front pump is the headlights so presuming side pump is windows, did use compressed air to blow back down but not made any difference.

Further to my previous posts I have come across a snag and am somewhat consfused to say the least.

Looking at another thread - https://www.fiatforum.com/ulysse/167649-ulysse-washer-bottle.html, it seems the Windscreen washer pump (Part No. 9641553980) has two outlets and Headlamp washer pump (Part No. 9641086680) only one outlet.

I seem to have things different on my vehicle, the headlamp washer pump which is black and green has two outlets with thin hoses, and this pump is situated at front of washer bottle and washes my headlamps, when lights are on.

I also have a black pump on the road wheel side of the washer bottle which has one outlet with a thick hose attached it is this one that has packed up and seems to be the front and rear windscreen wash pump.

I have removed the Windscreen washer pump and posted some images here, it is a rather large pump and is much bigger then the green and black pump which operates my headlamp washers.

By the way my headlamp washers have not worked previously until the other pump broke down and I am not sure if it was removing one of the outlet tubes that got this working or something odd is going on.

Help!

By the way I cannot find any reference to which fuses operate the windscreen washer pump.

The other post is for the mk2 Ulysse, you have a mk1.

On a mk2 there is a small pump with 2 outlets, it spins in either polarity feeding front or back washers, The bigger pump is a high pressure pump which forces the jets up out of the front bumper, extending to the lights and when at full height a small burst of water directly in front of the headlights.

Cheers , just been under car again and had another look and tested both pumps not connected to bottle and yes its the green one that is not working, do you know which fuse covers this, even though I think its just a dead pump.
