washer fluid instead of coolant

Hi all,

I took my car to the garage last week for a general service (brava 1.6, year 2000)

I have today noticed that they have made a huge mistake... they have flushed the coolant (OK) but refilled the coolant tank with the liquid used for the washer fluid tank (windscreen cleaner).

I am 99% sure, the colour is much lighter than it should and it does not smell like coolant.

I have already driven about 50 kilometers with it.

I am going to the garage on monday and in order to know how far can I take my complain I would really appreciate if someone can tell me if the mistake might have already caused some non-reparable consequences.

some windscreen fluid has a nice smell to it.But if it has been put thru the water system then it will get hot and i imagine it will smell horrible :/

did you not get a receipt with the work and parts they used?

Garage can test it for you or you can get one of these
