Warning lights

driving home today and yesterday i suddenly had two warning lights pop up. one was a red steering wheel and the other was amber, right next to it in the bottom left hand corner. they didnt comer on for long enough to see what they were. i was braking at the time and about to go into a corner. might of been my imagination but the steering might have felt different. had a look around other posts but couldnt quite fit them to my problem.
one of my head lamps is out i did notice people sayign that could have something to do with it.

any help appreciated.

red steering wheel is power steering fault... so it will be heavy. as for the yellow ne the only ones i know off are airbags/fuel

its probably an earth fault.

the amber one will be a bulb warning iirc and the red is steering, as its electric the assistance would have went funny. for both to come up at once will be an earth somewhere.

now im getting the immobiliser light coming on while im driving. the car starts fine and runs fine but after a minute imobiliser light comes on ( car with padlock through it) some one said that it is loosing power so loose connection ?

any idea whats going on with my car ?

3 electrical gremlins is more than likley an earth point needing cleaned up

if it was a loose connection, things would be going off/not working for moments, ok, your dteering did do this, but the fact you have 3 random gremlins out of nowhere says earth, and the steering can be attributed to this too.

ok thats sounds easy to fix ? iv cleaned the negative terminal on the battery. is there anything else?

look for earth points in the engine bay, there will be a few points in there, all it takes is one corroded terminal to cause problems throughout the car. theres probably one to body somewhere and at least one to the chassis leg

unbolt them if possible, clean up/ wd40 them, all should then be fine
