BEWARE - depending on the year/spec of car the layout may be slightly different, so one light may be in a different place to what is described. Also there is a light to do with the e/w, in an S model you wouldnt have this so it would never light up although may be on the dash.

The 1 being described in this link is for an MPI SPORTING (00-04)

No pics, but what each light does/is for are all listed

If you have the spi sporting (mine is a 99) I have mapped them all and have a list.
Mine is the type with the lights that go around the dash in an arc, and not the type with the lights near the speedo and clock

let me know if you still need them

post it on forum or in guides, would be beneficial for everyone then

The image from the tech manual is slightly different but with the aid of photoshop - this is how my car is set up.

For me things like the Airbags, ACS, PAS, ABS are not on the car so I dont expect them to come on

(I will look at getting this in a guide if folks think it will help)

It does help simo, in fact its does the job brilliantly. U make that yourself?

Well not from scratch. I basically had to capture the image from the tech manual, swap a load of the icons around and then label them. I also swapped the fuel and clock around to match mine but that was not really needed :)

good post simoncento (y) should help some people out.

Just a note, the handbrake warning light also acts as the brake fluid level warning light as well, at least i think it does on the mpi.

there is a button on top of the brake fluid reservoir, and if you press it, the handbrake light should light up.

Just a tip in case anyone has is on all the time and thinks it's a handbrake problem....it may be they have low brake fluid

Brilliant thanks simoncento just what i was after the one that had me baffled was the fuel injuection failure that flashed up on my car the other night then dissapeared fingers crossed it hasnt popped up since. Anyone tell me why that would have come up?

As sensor sent a message to the ECU it didn't understand.

It could have been as simple as a bit of dampness, but as long as the light went back off, nothing to worry about.

If your is an MPi it may have stored the code that could be read, if you could be bothered.

Cheers
