Hi everyone, I've searched this and can't find anything so here goes. I had 2 brake light bulbs out on my Bravo and replaced them with 2 I bought at Halfords. Both now work but I still have the warning symbol and the warning message showing on the dashboard, I read somewhere that you need to get the correct wattage bulb to reset this, Do I need to get these from the Fiat dealer or will generic bulbs do the job? If the standard Halfords ones work how do I reset the warning without disconnecting the battery as I don't know he code for the radio. I want to trade the car in you see and I can see the dealer being silly with trade in values if there is a warning showing...Thanks in advance

There's no code for the radio, its registered on the Canbus with the body computer, so will only work in your car. So you can happily try disconnecting the battery.

There is a radio code, it came with my car in the instructions for the radio on a credit sized card. Perhaps that's if you want to use it in another car?

I recently had this with mine, and I thought there was an issue, I faffed around and eventually the warning light went off. Can't remember what cured it but I switched ignition on and off, also pressed brake pedal a few times with ignition on....try those!

I have a somewhat similar problem, but the bulbs are not gone. The warning light on the dash lights up, with the message to check stop bulbs but everything works. The warning comes and goes. I have not brought it to the dealer yet, but must be due to get a service soon and will mention it. Seems like a loose connection but where to start for someone like me who is not mechanically minded!!!
Any ideas for a quick fix?
By the way, I don't remember replacing a brake bulb before.

Probably best checking the bulb holders first :)

get someone into the car and go through the lights, when brake is on i bet other lights partially glow due to kak earth with bad contacts on socket plug and printed circuit, had a punto in same problem(y):D

There's no code for MY radio, its registered on the Canbus with the body computer, so will only work in MY car. ( unless proxy aligned with Fiat examiner )

So its a different radio from the one that's standard in the 165 then.

So Itake it no one knows how to reset the warning LOL.... might have to bite the bullet and take it to a fiat technician before I trade it in .. Cheers anyway everyone
