warning light query

Not sure if its a glitch or something to be concerned about. yesterday eve i was driving down the road and put my foot down in 2nd gear from about 3 to 6.5k revs, took me foot off the gas the red (!) light blinked for less than a second. i think its the parking brake light, but unsure why it flashed. I hadnt touched the brakes until after and the handbrake was fully off! has this happened to anyone before? is it something to worry about?

Check Brake/Clutch Fluid Levels. If levels are low, fill up also you could also check above the gearbox under the battery tray for traces of leakage. Also could be your front brake pad sensor is getting low or its earthing.

I wouldn't really sit on it. Best to find the fault.
