Warning light on Dash and rattles....

recntly, the red light that look like a petrol nozzler has been coming on in my car, and then going away again after bout 5 mins, whats this mean?
also my car has been making a rattling noise, gets higher with the revs coming from my air box which is no longer attatched? sounds like something is hitting something?

I think the light on the dash that looks like a fuel nozzle is actually your injectors! Get them checked or replaced I would guess!

Get a diag done, the light means there is a fault somewhere with the injection/ignition system. Injectors are just one of a hundred or so possible faults.

Why is your airbox disconnected?

A model, age and milage would be very useful.

as a temporary solution you can buy some injector cleaning fluid and put it in the petrol tank, it might help, give it a try!

its a 1.4sx, 53,000 miles. airbox is disconnected at the pipe cos my air filter has been connected there, so if i wanna sell the car, i can take it all out no problem
