Warning Light - Door Open

Can anyone tell me whether a Fiat Bravo should have a 'door open'warning light. Mine is a 1.6 sx and lately I happened to take a ride in my friend's Brava 1.6 sx and noticed that it had a 'door open'warning light. Just to know if my Bravo should have such a warning light and mine is not working or if no warning light was ever available on the Bravo.

Some did, some didn't. I don't think SX models had that warning light. I'm pretty sure the upmarket ones did, though. And Bravas have a different instrument panel than Bravos.

My 18 hlx 1997 has a light on the dash but it's never come on. Has the bulb blown or is it not connected . Does anyone have one that does work ??

Thanks Paul - However my friend's Brava has the same dash as mine my Bravo is an '01 model and his an '99 model. The only difference on the dash between mine and his is the radio unit.

Anyway then the Brava has four doors and mine two
so I concluded that a Brava needs the warning light more than a Bravo does!

Really the doubt came because I bought my car new but then I had my car alarm installed locally, not at the factory, before it was delivered to me and I wondered if the alarm guys disconnected something by mistake.

And I guess since the 1.8HLX does not even have it then I don't think the SX would, maybe the 2.0 does.
