Hi can anyone help me?
I have a 1996 Bravo 1400sx,& I am having problems that my garage does not seem able to solve.First thing in the morning or at night my car starts first time everytime.but if i park my car & then come back to the car within a couple of hours it just does not want to start. After many turns of the key it will eventually start.I had the AA out to the car & after testing the battery, leads, plugs etc said the starter motor was a gonna.I paid £150 to have a new new starter motor fitted but nothing has changed. My garage then thought it may be the ignition switch but could find no fault....they have now advised me to run the car on a full tank of petrol as it could be evaporation in the tank when low!! Looks like I am going to have to take it to my Fiat dealer in Southampton to run it on the diog tester £50+vat to find out the fault.....any ideas anyone please! many thanks jeff

my local garage can do diagnostics on my fiat for £30, have a hunt round before you go to the dealer.

I had a 106 that did this, they replaced one of the temperature sensors and the idle control valve as the diagnostic flagged both these as faulty before they found it was a dodgy connection between the two that was causing it.
